This ryu specializes in Koppojutsu which means breaking
bones. This style is very linear in motion. This ryu was originally founded
by Sandayu Momochi.
(Koppojutsu absolutely positively doesn't mean "bone
breaking". This has been a mistranslation for decades. koppo means "bone method",
which involves controlling an opponent using his bone structure and yours. Literal
translation...Anonymous)
(Note I have seen different names for the same kata,
it depends on how the kanji is read. Bruce)
Most strikes have targets. This link, by Mat Hjelms,
shows the target or kyusho
of the Koto Ryu. His site also has lot of information about the histories of
all the ryu!
